Central Government Putting Its Effort to Remove Backwardness of the Northeast

BJP President Amit Shah, while his visit to Assam, stated that the Narendra Modi-led central government has put its best efforts to eradicate the backwardness of the northeast region. They are trying to ensure, both economic development and social reformation of the state and the region in present and future.

Shah said, “The BJP government has taken ambitious plan on a mission mode to develop connectivity in the northeastern region, setting up of a sports university in Manipur, increase business opportunities between northeast India and neighbouring countries, setting up of hostels for northeast students in different cities in India.”

Shah further adds, “Poverty stricken Bangladeshi people infiltrating northeast without any check. Hence, the central government not only tightens the security along Bangladesh border, but also giving an apt reply to the firing from across the Pakistan border.”
If this happens to be true and the BJP government stands on what it has promised prior to the elections, then Assam and its people can really hope to find a better and developed state in a few years to come.
