Right from home made authentic local dishes to happy and cosy lodging at their home to amazing natural locations along with the natural root bridge at a distance, there is everything a nature lover would look for and will find in Mawlynnong.

They would serve you with a warm smoky plate of rice with fried vegetables, daal, fried fish, fish curry and local chicken curry to charge only less than two hundred bucks and will win your heart right away with the amazing cleanliness they have maintained all round the village, the lanes, the front and back yards of the houses. You can see locally made bamboo trash beans all round the village being hung so that you do not need to look out for a place to trash the packet of chips or the cigarette you were smoking.

At just a distance of 2 kms, the living root bridge created through the roots of two giant trees over a stream is just another iconic view and experience that is definitely not experienced anywhere else.
